Actor John Travolta has honoured the life and memory of Australian icon Olivia Newton-John.

Australian singer and actress Olivia Newton-John has passed away this morning after a long battle with cancer.

Travolta released a tribute to Olivia Newton-John on his social media;

“My dearest Olivia, you made all of our lives so much better,” he captioned a throwback photo of Newton-John. “Your impact was incredible. I love you so much. We will see you down the road and we will all be together again.”

“Yours from the moment I saw you and forever! Your Danny, your John!” he concluded.

Cast members of Grease The Musical in the West End have dedicated their entire run of the show to Dame Olivia Newton-John, who died aged 73 on 8 August.

In a joint statement after their performance on Tuesday, 9 August, the cast said that it was a “huge honour to follow in Olivia’s footsteps each night” and arranged a charity collection for Breast Cancer Support as the audience left the theatre.

“We are dedicating our run of Grease to Olivia’s memory and all that she stood for,” Olivia Moore, who plays Sandy, said.
